Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage appointment calendars.
- Register new patients, verify insurance information, and collect patient demographic and insurance details.
- Ensure patient registration forms and medical history information are accurately completed and updated.
- Coordinate patient check-in and check-out processes, including collecting copayments and processing payments.
- Manage patient inquiries and direct them to appropriate departments or healthcare providers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area, waiting room, and front desk.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents.
- Provide administrative support to clinical and non-clinical staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in office administration or medical office management preferred.
- Previous experience in customer service, reception, or administrative role is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using multi-line phone systems, electronic health records (EHR) systems, and basic computer applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing appointments and patient records.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
