Responsibilities:
- Conduct a variety of laboratory tests, including but not limited to blood tests, urine analysis, and microbiological cultures.
- Analyze samples using laboratory equipment such as microscopes, analyzers, and centrifuges.
- Maintain laboratory equipment by performing regular maintenance and calibration procedures.
- Record and interpret test results accurately, maintaining detailed records of findings and observations.
- Adhere to laboratory protocols and quality control standards to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide timely and accurate diagnostic information.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Stay updated on advancements in laboratory technology and procedures to enhance laboratory efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in laboratory procedures and data interpretation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
